Quazi's Strategy:

The Garand used to be the "run and gun" style of play choice of weapon prior to 2.0. There was no recoil and the semi-automatic nature of the weapon allowed it's user to fly around the map shooting everything in sight with relative accuracy. The style of play with the Garand has changed dramatically. No longer is it "run and gunnable." Instead, it is an extremely strategic weapon that can take the place of many other weapons in many situations. Overall, the accuracy of the Garand appears to have been improved in 2.0. Obviously, while moving around, the garand has quite a kick to it. One shot will send your aim upwards which means you'll have to correct yourself repeatedly. Granted, the recoil is not that of say, the M1 or an MG by any means, but it is still something to compensate for. By ducking, one gains an extremely large aiming advantage. The style of play is no longer run and gun, but run, crouch, aim, and fire a couple shots. One to the chest or head will usually kill, while two shots anywhere else should do the trick. However, the Garand truly shines while it's user is prone. Once the person holding the gun can find a position within a map, they would be much advised to stay there and snipe until they go blind. The Garand becomes extremely accurate while prone and is therefore one of the faster sniping weapons the game now has to offer. If the first shot misses, you have another already in the chamber to fire off. This rapid succession of bullets towards a target with little recoil allows you to hold a position against multiple enemies with ease.
