Quazi's Strategy:

Ah yes, the only weapons in DoD to be dubbed a specific group of "whores," well, at least that I've seen. The BAR whore used to be someone who ran around killing absolutely everything in sight thanks to the BAR's ability to mow down enemies with it's very high caliber and decent accuracy. However, 2.0 changed things. Sure, it's still possible to be a BAR whore, it's just a little different now. Recoil has affected this gun like it has the other automatic weapons. You have to pull that mouse down while you're aiming and standing. It's a given. You can no longer sit there and fire round after round and expect them to fly into the same area. The BAR is a very tactical gun that has lost some of it's power for assaulting. Because of it's high recoil, the ability to run and gun has decreased with this weapon. It has been forced into a game of strategy, placement, and patience. A good BAR player will now find a spot to stay, crouch or prone there, and kill anything that moves. This gun is not very effective while you're on the move, and it's pretty effective while crouched, though the recoil is still a burden. While proned, this gun can do wonders and takes on the effects of an MG with less ammo. Keep in mind, you've got a ton of clips on you with this gun. Don't be afraid to reload so that when the next enemy comes along you can just OPEN FIRE on them. This gun has a decent ability of burst-firing, but it's not comparable to the SMG (small machine gun) class of weapons. Be aware, that one of the gun's major strengths is it's ability to devastate people through walls and around corners. Use this knowledge to your advantage. Again, the BAR has changed. It's not a very good assault weapon any longer but is highly effective for defense and for allowing the capture and holding of points.

Quazi's BAR Notes:

Do not play this gun like you did in 1.3. It's not the same weapon. It's not used for firing on the fly anymore. You need to stop and take aim at your opponent from a crouched or proned position in order to let it be effective.
This gun has a high caliber of bullet and is therefore rather piercing when it comes to walls. Don't be afraid to fill a window with fire if you know a sniper might be in there. The BAR is good at finding them.
Use the multitude of clips to your advantage. Don't be afraid to change clips often. This gun eats up the ammo quickly. Because of this, it's to your advantage to have a full clip when the enemy comes along. Especially when you're on the move because you'll need to use all those bullets just to hit the poor sucker in front of you.
Yes, BAR whores still exist. They just have to hide a bit more now ;)
