Quazi's Strategy:

The Thompson Submachine is a vital part to the allied force. Not only is it used for assaulting troops but is also a great defensive weapons because of it's ability to "pick off" the enemy from a distance. Here, as with most weapons, it is not the same as 1.3. The style of play is fairly similar however. You can be the assault a distance, stop, hold the position, assault a little further, rinse and repeat. Or, you can just sit tight, and hold back the enemy. The new recoil system has modified this gun to an extent. Especially while standing or running, the recoil is something you must compensate for fairly heavily. With this weapon, ducking is KEY. Because it's an automatic, your bullets will spread out anyway. So, adding recoil to that equation can only make for an inaccurate weapon. This weapon should be used while crouched. It's very effective for running up, crouching, firing, and getting back up and running some more. A "run and gun" style of play. However, no longer, as in 1.3, is it effective as running around shooting people as you go. Not only that, but in my own experience, the damage seems to have been turned down. Although I could be wrong. I've noticed that it usually takes around 3 or 4 shots to the person to take them down. Be aware, this gun is great for holding positions because you can move around from place to place safely rather than camping in one spot and leaving yourself open. This way, you can surprise your enemy by being in a different place when they come around. One thing to mention however, is the extreme lack of recoil while prone. If you find a spot where you can sit, prone and stay there with this gun. The accuracy becomes amazing and allows (in 2 round bursts or so) for some excellent sniping. This is an assault weapon and is great for backup at those points when you need it. Use it while crouching for maximum effectiveness and you'll fall in love with this gun.
