Quazi's Strategy:

The sniper rifle has changed dramatically from 1.3 to 2.0. No longer are you able to run, zoom in, fire. Or, just skip the zoom in, just fire. You can't run and fire these weapons anymore. It's just not possible. The sniper rifle is now a tool, rather than a weapon, when it comes to the successful completion of a map. As far as accuracy goes, the prone and crouched accuracy seems about the same. Instead of having your crosshairs simply appear, there is a fade in that you have to compensate for. Instead of being able to look around and wait for someone to come, THEN zoom, you need to stay zoomed in and look around with the rifle while you're zoomed. If you do it like you used to, the target will be gone by the time "your eye has adjusted to the scope." Because of this, finding a spot to camp is very important. Pick a dark spot that's out of the way, or pick a spot that is right in the open where no one would expect you. Another big change with this weapon, it's not 1.3 anymore. If you don't hit them in the chest or head, they won't die with one shot. You need to place your shots now. Take that split-second extra to put the bullet where it counts. If you don't, by the time you've pulled the bolt back and have another round in the chamber, your target is gone. Sure, they're in a lot of pain, but someone else will get the kill, not you. Also, don't be afraid to use your pistol with this class. This gun is difficult to shoot from the hip anymore. You should have your pistol out and ready if you plan on moving around. Don't move around with this weapon selected because if you go up against anyone, you're probably going to lose. The pistol is great for backup, and is also useful for finishing off the job. Sometimes, the shots in the legs will slow the opponent down enough that you can whip out the pistol and pop off two rounds or so to kill him. So, don't be afraid to use it and have it as your last weapon. The last-weapon key is your friend in this case. To recap, the allied sniper rifle is no longer an assault weapon by any stretch of the imagination. It requires a great deal of patience and dedication to learn how to place your shots correctly. Without a good sniper, a team will be at a loss. With a great sniper, they can defend or overcome the greatest of obstacles. Don't play this like it's 1.3. It's 2.0 now, make those shots count.
